Requiem Revisited

03.06.07 (11:54 am)   [edit]

Everybody go over here:

mickbordet.tblog.com

Mick took my bass solo piece Requiem For A Head Laying In A Field In Butler and did some really wonderful stuff to it. I'm shocked and honored that somebody would think enough of my music to do this, and the end result is a joy. Dig the odd interplay between the bass and drums.

Thanks, Mick. Great work.

Love,
Dougie

I was the drummer on the collaboration and I think your playing is sublime, it really cheered me that me and Mick Bordet have a new collaborator, particularly such a gifted player as yourself. Thanks for allowing us (The Lunacy Board) to use your bass parts for our wee film. I believe Mick has invited you onboard for that and I wish to extend both my heartiest welcome and my gratitiude,
drive away, sir!

Very pleased to meet you, and thank you for your part in this. I really do love the end result. And I'm looking forward to helping you guys with the film, it might take me a couple days to get to my part on that.

Thanks for the kind words. Now I have even more reason to want to travel to your part of the world. :)

Aye...Scotland's OK! In fact, some geezers I know, from California, the band "Glass", are coming over in October to do some gigs here, so the transatlantic alliance continues. To contact myself or The Lunacy Board, you can e-mail at: seanprog@hotmail.co.uk. Hope you're having a good day, I appreciate you're having it tight just now, so my thoughts are with you,
Best regards,
Sean (Urquhart)
