Wotta fuckin' setlist! I have to come see you play again - and record again. I finally got the adaptor for my recorder that'll let me avoid using phantom power to the mics, so I should have much longer battery life and should be able to get a whole show with no problems.

That is a lot of work. No wonder some of your posts give the distinct impression you are totally wasted at the time of writing. Now, what excuse can the rest of us give?

Just what every guy in a bar band or a solo gig has to do. I've only really been able to pull this off for a year or so now, it's taken me a long time to feel comfortable with my voice.

Always impressed by your setlists. If you're playing the whole song and not just medleys, your shows must last all freakin' day.

No, just four hours with a few breaks. The only songs that got cut down on this list were Pigs (Three Different Ones) since it doesn't make sense to just pump that whole thing out solo acoustic (though I'm sure I'm still lasting a good six to seven minutes) and Down By The River since no one wants to hear me fuck around on that for nine fucking minutes. :)

Still, man, that gig's not just LONG, that's Metallica-back-in-the-day long.
Bridge of Sighs is an awesome song. Hypnotic.

I need to nail down a recording of Bridge Of Sighs. I do it on 12-string. You have to tweak it a bit that way, but it works, and it fits my vocal range perfectly.
Having a flute player behind me makes it interesting. I've also been working up a three-piece acoustic thing with a couple guys from the band. We did it guitar/keys/congas-bongos and it was great. Then our drummer's son got behind the kit and joined us and it was WONDERFUL, even without that distinctive bass line. I need a recording of that.

That's a great setlist! If you guys would come to the DC area, I'd certainly come see you. I know of a bunch of places where you could play that wouldn't pay you anything, and lots of super-expensive hotels. Whaddaya say?

Well, if you ever do record it, I want a copy.
